Investors in India have the opportunity to buy shares of companies in foreign countries here. They can buy shares of high-priced shares in part, 1/2 or 1/4. They can also sell them. This facility is provided by NSE IX or National Stock Exchange International Exchange.
Apart from stocks, you can trade in debt instruments and exchange-traded funds. NSE IX Managing Director V Balasubrahmanyam said that the first test will be the US market. The next step will be to expand this facility to 30 countries.
Along with the US, G7 countries are also targeting it in the first phase. With this, 50-60% of the world's GDP will come under the ambit of trade. As per the Reserve Bank's regulations, an Indian citizen can invest a maximum of $2.5 lakh abroad in a financial year. The National Stock Exchange International Exchange is providing this facility through its subsidiary NSE IX Global Access.
It may take 10 days for everything to come smoothly. Investors can register for this facility by visiting the exchange website. Balasubramaniam said that an agreement has been reached with foreign brokers ViewTrade for trading and settlement. In cryptocurrencies
Investment is not allowed. Similarly, investment in stock derivatives is not possible. Balasubramanian also announced that along with small investors, investment institutions will also be facilitated to participate in foreign trade over time.
